Creamfields took the top prize winning Best Major Festival – but with 23 awards in total, plenty of accolades were shared throughout the evening. Download Festival Best Hospitality, a nod to their RIP tickets, whilst Latitude Festival won Best Toilets!
It was also a good night for Liverpool promoters, since both Liverpool Sound City and Liverpool Music Week took home Best Festival for Emerging Talent and Best Metropolitan Festival awards and respectively.
To round off the evening, the Festival Awards team gave Dick Tee, The Outstanding Contribution to Festivals Award for his long innings of over 35 years working in the production of the biggest festivals in the world.
We should also give a bit of a shout out to the other people on our dinner table that evening – we were in great company with Rob and Charlotte from Mama Group, Alex from Standon, Liam at BandsInTown and Joe from AKA/OnBlackheath.
