In one day we collected more than 60 coats, sleeping bags and boxes full of jumpers and jackets. A lot of people couldn’t bring a coat as they didn’t have much time to go through their things at home, but still brought gloves, hats and scarves… everything’s been very helpful!
Barbara, who’s from Shelter from the Storm, was very impressed by all the things we collected in only one day and very grateful. We also put the charity in contact with a shoe factory (thanks to Lisa Katzinger) and they collected four boxes full of new shoes.
Shelter from the Storm does an amazing job providing completely free shelter including bed, dinner and breakfast for up to 44 homeless people every night of the year.
