The multi million-selling Wanted on Voyage was a collection of songs that ached with the influence of Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie and gave the world the gorgeous single Budapest – a hit around the globe and a firm festival favourite.

This May sees George’s welcome return to the stage with a series of intimate shows throughout the UK and Ireland – his Top Secret Tour 2017:

26 May – Limelight, Belfast

27 May – Millennium Forum, Derry

29 May – Olympia Theatre, Dublin

30 May – Mill Market, Limerick

1 June – The Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl

2 June – Y Plas, Cardiff

3 June – Brangwyn Hall, Swansea

5 June – The Factory Petroc, Barnstaple

6 June – Lemon Grove, Exeter

7 June – Forum, Bath

Having graced some of the world’s biggest venues and festival stages, the chance to see Ezra performing in such intimate surroundings instantly delighted fans. However, such shows where demand far outstrips supply can attract bad actors and ticket resellers. As an artist extremely vocal about getting tickets into the hands of genuine fans over touts, George Ezra and his team worked closely with Ticketmaster Artist Services to deliver a chance for real fans to sign up and be contacted exclusively with a passcode and ticket link.

Ticketmaster and sister site TicketWeb along with promoter Live Nation threw all their collective marketing support behind the campaign to encourage sign-ups (read more about this on our blog). Fans were then contacted by label partner Sony with passcodes to access the George Ezra ticket listings page via an exclusive email.

Ticketmaster worked with every venue on the tour to implement a paperless / credit card ID entry campaign which effectively eradicates secondary ticketing activity.

Ticketmaster secondary sites GetMeIn and Seatwave did not list the events and third-party sites StubHub and Viagogo saw no tickets for sale.

Thousands of George Ezra fans secured tickets for the show of their choice. The campaign managed to sell out all 10 shows with no instance of tickets appearing on secondary sites. To find out how you can manage secondary ticketing with Ticketmaster Paperless contact [email protected]
