The follow-up to 2011’s acclaimed Port of Morrow, Heartworms is a welcome reminder of why James Mercer is one of the most respected songwriters at work today. The new album boasts the new singles “Dead Alive” and “Name for You” which sport an urgent ska riff, Mercer’s trademark esoteric lyrics and Beach Boys-esque harmonies.

Accompanying news of the album came details of a series of UK dates including London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 29 March. TicketWeb and Artist Services were appointed as the official team and supported the announcement across all their channels, including a dedicated feature on the TicketWeb Blog that drove fans to pre-order the album to receive a passcode which would allow them to access presale tickets 48 hours before the general sale. Thousands of fans were engaged and purchased both tickets and albums.
