Ticketmaster Artist Services are today confirmed as an official partner and named as one of the event’s influencer panellists.
The UMAs will take over the 4,000-capacity Brighton Centre to celebrate the UK’s most innovative and unique unsigned artists, with an awards ceremony taking place on 16 May 2018 to kick off the 13th edition of The Great Escape. All nominees will be selected by UK’s leading influencers, A&R, booking agencies, promoters and festival partners.
“Supporting unsigned and emerging musical talent is one of the most rewarding elements of what we do at Ticketmaster Artist Services,” says Senior Manager for Artist Relations John Talbot. “We’re delighted to be a partner of The UMAs in 2018 as we’re keen to help those acts working hard to establish themselves. Ticketmaster Artist Services helps touring artists at any stage in their career who want to make the very most of their ticketing campaigns; we can’t wait to identify the next batch of new talent and lend our support and expertise.”
CEO of UMA Simon O'Kelly says, "We are extremely proud at UMA to be working with Ticketmaster, one of the most prominent names on the live music scene and their support of new and independent artists is great to see. Included with the partnership, UMA Music: Horizon Sessions are now filmed at the Imperial Bar in Ticketmaster HQ, showcasing amazing UMA Artists each month, further extending Ticketmaster Artist Services' support to artists by enabling UMA to launch a platform where artists can shine - and of course, the artists love filming there too."
Last year’s awards saw accolades given to British singer and songwriter Elle Exxe, rock act Broken Witt Rebels and UK soul singer Mullally. Learn more about the 2016 award winners here.
