While in the early years of its career, so too are the delegates that pour in from across the continent to attend. This is the ethos behind Fast Forward – to connect and engage a diverse group of ambitious under-35s.

Sarah Slater (pictured below left), Director of Development of Music at Ticketmaster UK, sat on the Future of Ticketing panel. The chat covered everything from key growth areas for the future from mobile through to streaming services such as Spotify, data, the longevity of hard tickets in a digital world and the value of dynamic pricing in the music industry.

Jo Young (pictured above right), Associate Director of Marketing Services across Ticketmaster International, took the stage to present a “FastFifteen” to the crowd on How Ticketing Works. Jo looked at consumer and tech trends, audience and ticket data, and big data marketing.

Throughout the two days, delegates were treated to a excess of insightful panels and presentations – including New Technology in Music Marketing, International Trends, Catering to Your Superfan, Diversity in Classical Music, Lessons from Gaming and, one of the most well attended sessions (and arguably most important), Staying Healthy in a 24/7 Music Biz.

Fast Forward is a breath of fresh air with the conference full of motivated and passionate young people. It’s clear that the future of the music industry is in safe hands.
