Rave for Refugees will take place across two nights at London’s Electric Brixton in December, with all proceeds going to the Help Refugees CHOOSE LOVE campaign. Ticketmaster will be implementing its Paperless ticketing technology to eliminate the resale of tickets, and ensure all proceeds go directly to the charity.

Ticketmaster pioneered and developed Paperless ticketing technology in 2009, as a direct response to artists’ requests to stop the resale of their tickets. The technology sees fan’s credit or debit cards used as the ticket, with the cardholder required to present their card and photographic ID at the point of entry with their party. Ticketmaster will also prevent listings of tickets on their resale marketplaces.

Andrew Parsons, Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK: “Ticketmaster has the technology available to allow any event organiser to create and control their own ticketing strategy. So we are very happy to be working with Lock N Load on these club nights, implementing our proven Paperless ticketing technology to ensure all proceeds from ticket sales go straight to Help Refugees, a charity we’re very proud to support.”

Lock N Load said, “Our number one priority for the Rave for Refugees club nights is to raise money and awareness for the Help Refugees cause. Working with Ticketmaster, we are able to ensure we are doing everything in our power to stop the resale of tickets and ensure every pound a fan spends on a ticket reaches the Help Refugees team.”

Ticketmaster recently implemented Paperless technology with great success on the upcoming Iron Maiden tour to ensure fans were able to buy tickets at the intended price. The technology was a great success.

Rave For Refugees will see some of the biggest names in UK dance music come together for Help Refugees in a series of unique events at the Electric Brixton. Acts include Faithless, Daphni, Eats Everything, Jon Hopkins, Skream, Chase & Status, Rudimental, Sigma and Shy FX.

Tickets for the raves are on sale now at Ticketmaster.co.uk for just £15.00. Proceeds go to Help Refugees CHOOSE LOVE campaign.
