The Ticketing Professionals Conference (or TPC) is an education-led event focusing on innovation, best practice and continued improvement in the entertainment ticketing sector.

Now in its third year, 2018 saw a record attendance for the conference. This year also saw sessions discussing hot topics such as blockchain, millennials and GDPR.

Gary, Keith and Paul took to the TPC stage in Birmingham on the first day to share their learnings from implementing Ticketmaster’s Paperless ticketing technology in the Victoria Palace Theatre. Hamilton, arrived in London late last year and has quickly become one of the most talked about shows of the decade. Ticketing stories continue to dominate the headlines and Hamilton has “all but eliminated touts”.

The session was very well attended, clearly everyone wanted to be in the room where it was about to happen (excuse the Hamilton pun).

The discussion focused on the decision-making process, the onsale, the on-ground logistics, delays, through to the results. Using the Paperless technology was initially described as an experiment for the West End, but Keith and Paul went on to call the implementation of the product an immense success.
