The band are performing a major homecoming show at Chepstow Races on 25 August (bank holiday weekend), which is currently featured on the TM Blog. Orbital

Last week Orbital’s management team contacted Ticketmaster Artist Services to play us the brand new single from seminal techno duo Orbital. The track Copenhagen had already been teasing fans thanks to its popular inclusion in their recent DJ sets. Last Friday afternoon the track finally saw a studio version go live – available to download direct from the artist’s website and premiered on BBC 6Music. Ticketmaster lent support with a coordinated post on the TM Blog at the same time as the band’s official announcement and first radio play.

SuperGlu

Long-time friends of TicketWeb and previous Live Nation Source headliners, SuperGlu have released their brand new single Welcome Home on Communion Music (who’ve released music from likes of Ben Howard, Michael Kiwanuka, Nick Mulvey, Willy Mason, Matthew and the Atlas, Bad Suns, Gotye, Daughter, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Half Moon Run, Deap Vally, Bear’s Den and Tennis in the past). Gigslutz made it one of their Tracks of the Week: “Drifting somewhere between punk and Britpop – barrels of fun but with a snarling attitude – Welcome Home embodies why SuperGlu are so easy to fall in love with. Between yells of ‘I can’t get over this feeling it’s so good,’ shimmering harmonies and hooks that make you want to get up and dance, Welcome Home sees bubbly positivity made super. f*cking. cool.”

The band play Good Karma Club at the Islington on 27 July and tour the UK in September. It’s only a matter of time before SuperGlu become the national treasures they deserve to be. Listen to Welcome Home here. Get tour tickets here

2017 has seen the return of one of the UK’s biggest success stories in recent years – George Ezra is the singer and songwriter who came to prominence thanks to hits Budapest and Blame It On Me and his multi platinum-selling debut Wanted on Voyage. His team recently worked with Artist Services to deliver his Top Secret Tour of the UK at the start of this year and his new single Don’t Matter Now came out earlier this summer. It’s a summery slice of melodic fun, layered with punchy brass and a shout-along chorus. Give it a listen now.

Haim

Speaking of comebacks, Haim have made a welcome return to the airwaves. The three sisters are back with a new album Something to Tell You out now on Polydor. Lead single Want You Back and Little of Your Love are stand-out songs, boasting the luscious harmonies and AOR sensibilities that endeared Haim to us all in the first place. Ladies it’s good to have you back.

Big Thief

This glorious sunshine isn’t going to last forever, so you might had well get Shark Smile by Big Thief ready now for your autumn soundtrack. It’s a perfect entry point for this incredible band, currently supporting Conor Oberst on his tour and already making a dent on the Big Champagne North America charts. Big Thief are signed to Saddle Creek (the ultimate emo label according to one Tom Stafford at TicketWeb) and look set to win the hearts of thoughtful-types the world over.

Steps

steps_600x300.jpg

Didn’t you hear? ’90s superstars Steps were in the Ticketmaster building last month, teaching eager Ticketmaster staff the choreography to their massive disco flavoured anthem Scared of the Dark. Yeh, it’s got a big slice of Toni Braxton’s Unbreak My Heart in it, but that’s what makes it so good.

There’s a video imminent, keep your eyes peeled. But in meantime here’s Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian “H” Watkins doing it properly.

Confidence Man

confidenceman_600x300.jpg

Two words dominated our conversation at this year’s The Great Escape Festival in Brighton: CONFIDENCE MAN. A hyperactive, tongue-in-cheek sexy show that pushes all the right buttons. Dayglo? Check! Cycling lycra? You bet! Electronica guaranteed to get feet stomping and arms waving? Say no more!

In case you don’t know what we mean, get stuck into Boyfriend (Repeat), turn it up and join the party already.

Joy Room

Artist Services are delighted to see and hear Jessie Ware back with a series of live shows and a slinky new single. Midnight dropped on Friday 28 July and shows Jessie to be a world-class diva, thanks to a song that’s undeniably hers while channelling soul queens Whitney Houston and even Mariah Carey – in a good way, we promise!

Earlier in the week Jessie and her team partnered with TicketWeb and Artist Services to sell-out a presale on a group of intimate shows at Islington Assembly Hall, taking place in September.
