The record shot straight to No.1 on both sides of the Atlantic and has since gone platinum in the UK. Featuring a duet with Eminem and the hit singles What About Us and title track Beautiful Trauma, the release saw the US pop star triumph. Flash forward to October 2018 and the artist wowed fans in the UK and Ireland with the news that the Beautiful Trauma World Tour is coming to their shores in summer 2019.
To ensure that P!NK’s fans had the fairest and best access to tickets over professional resellers and bots, UK promoter Marshall Arts employed Ticketmaster International as the tour’s official ticketseller, utilising Ticketmaster’s exclusive Verified Fan mechanic.
Verified Fan
From 16 October, the tour was announced, with artist and promoter communications instructing fans to register their details and interest securely on the tour website.
Two days later the registration period was officially closed and all sign-ups were submitted to a Verified Fan data-scrub by Ticketmaster International, removing all suspected touts from the subsequent presale. All successful applicants were congratulated first by a direct email from Ticketmaster, followed by an SMS with their passcode and link to purchase tickets. The Verified Fan presale opened to successful fans at 09:00 BST and sold out in a matter of minutes.
The Verified Fan campaign resulted in hundreds of thousands of registrations from P!NK fans. A small percentage of applicants were removed through the data-scrub, ensuring those with access to the presale did not intend to immediately sell their tickets on resale sites. Ticketmaster successfully managed the distribution of tens of thousands of codes per show, via direct email and SMS.
The high rate of sale and the volume of customer data collected allowed Marshall Arts and P!NK’s team to gauge tour demand, resulting in an additional Glasgow date at Hampden Park.
Collector Ticket
Marshall Arts and P!NK also worked with Ticketmaster on an exclusive commemorative Collector Ticket for Ticketmaster customers in the UK and Ireland. The wearable ticket with working barcode and tour artwork was made available as an optional upsell on all UK and Ireland dates. Tens of thousands of fans opted for the P!NK Beautiful Trauma World Tour Collector Ticket, therefore proving to be one of Ticketmaster’s best sellers of the year so far.
