On 22 October 2018 Ticketmaster are gathering some of country and Americana’s most exciting up-and-coming acts for an evening of stories and music. Featuring Jimmie Allen, Laura Oakes and Megan O’Neill, Three Chords & The Truth will explore the tales behind the lyrics and the path these songwriters take to write their heartfelt tracks.

Southern Delaware native Jimmie Allen is stopping by just ahead of supporting Chase Rice on his UK dates and being part of The Bluebird Café Nashville at London’s Bush Hall. The hot newcomer, heralded as one of the top “artists to watch in 2018” by Rolling Stone and Billboard, will release his debut album Mercury Lane on 12 October 2018.

Liverpool may not be the usual breeding ground for burgeoning country-pop superstars, but Laura Oakes is – as always – an exception to the rule. A two-time winner of Best Female Vocalist at the British Country Music Awards and a Top 5 artist on the iTunes UK Country Music Chart, Oakes has the room-silencing voice and songwriting chops to rival her heroes Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride.

Chart-topping and multi award-winning Irish-born singer Megan O’Neill is one of the most exciting Americana artists on the UK and Irish scene. A long-time musician and songwriter, O’Neill previously lived in Nashville but now resides between Ireland and London. Turning heads since the first single Why I Need You came out, her brand new album Ghost of You has been incredibly popular since its release in June this year.

With country, folk and Americana music growing in popularity in the UK, Ticketmaster is proud to be part of that movement and support the rising country stars in the UK and worldwide. Three Chords & The Truth is designed to shine a bright light on these talents alongside the moving stories behind the words and melodies.

Please note that this event is by invitation only.
