Christmas is coming. You can feel it in the air. And nothing heralds the arrival of crisp winter evenings, twinkling lights and mugs of cocoa (or mulled cider if you prefer) than the opening of one of London’s most iconic ice skating rinks.
Hailed as a London institution, the iconic Natural History Museum Ice Rink officially opened last week for the festive season. Set against the stunning backdrop of one of London’s best-loved landmarks, skaters can take to the ice at the enchanting rink from now and throughout the winter period, until Sunday 6 January 2019.
Acoustic Lates 2018 live at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink is a series of special free live music events curated by Ticketmaster. Showcasing some of the best emerging musical talent in the UK, all shows take place in the ice rink’s alpine-style Café Bar. The bar is open for seasonal treats and winter warmers, with a perfectly positioned viewing balcony for visitors to watch all the skate action.
The new season of Acoustic Lates launched on Thursday 1 November with special performances from SAER, Karima Franis (shown performing below) and Melissa Bel. You can check out photos from the launch event here.
Acoustic Lates happens every Thursday until 17 January 2019, with performances to come from Bang Bang Romeo (taking a break from supporting P!nk on her UK tour dates), rising country music star Laura Oakes and takeovers from Metropolis Music and Big Hug Management. See full line-up details below:
