Through this partnership 20 Ticketmaster markets were paired with a local cancer charity, to raise funds across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Ticketmaster teams dedicated all employee fundraising activities to this one united cause supporting cancer charities around the world. Kicking off on World Cancer Day, teams took part in bake sales and bucket collections, fun runs and quiz nights.
Ticketmaster also offered fans around the world the opportunity to add a charitable donation on tickets bought through its websites. With over one billion annual digital users around the world, this gave unrivalled visibility to the awareness of the cause.
In total over £150,000 was raised around World Cancer Day – money that will go straight to supporting local cancer initiatives.
On the back of all of this hard work Ticketmaster UK received a Special Commendation from Cancer Research UK in the category of "Corporate Fundraising Team of the Year", part of their UK Flame of Hope Annual Awards.
