As ticketing partner for the Glasgow International Jazz Festival, Ticketmaster has been a longstanding supporter of the festival and will this year be presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award, which has previously seen winners including Carol Kidd, Bobby Wellins, Tam White, Ronnie Rae and Jim Mullen. 

The awards seek to celebrate Scotland’s vibrant jazz scene and a panel of industry specialists including press, media and promoters from across the UK jazz music scene are chosen to select the shortlist for each of the awards and the public are encourage to vote for their favourite artists in categories including Rising Star Award and Best Album Award. 

Jill Rodger, Director of Glasgow Jazz Festival and host of this year’s Scottish Jazz Awards, said  “Hosting the Scottish Jazz Awards is a fantastic honour for us at the Glasgow Jazz Festival. The awards are a great opportunity to recognise and reward some of the brilliant musicians we have on the Scottish Jazz scene. We’re delighted to be working in association with Hands Up For Trad once again and we would like to say a huge thank you to the industry professionals who give up their time to be on our panel.
