Wide Days is run by Olaf Furniss and Michael Lambert, who are both mainstays in the Scottish music industry and look to provide a forum for Scottish music businesses and artists to connect with the international industry.

As expected the convention had a number of interesting panels that touched on relevant topics in the industry at the moment – such as gender parity on festivals, how to succeed with streaming platforms and looking after your mental health while on tour.

Wide Days also has a showcase element and this year saw bands including the grunge Crystal, lo-fi Lucia and Graham Costello’s Strata featuring some of Scotland’s most talented jazz musicians round off an eclectic showcase.
