Eventit is an annual showcase for those in the business events, meetings, incentives, hospitality and festivals industries in Scotland. With over 120 exhibitors and suppliers, it’s the must-attend date in the Scottish events calendar.
As part of our day, we hosted a workshop on Why Online Ticketing Is Important to discuss with event organisers why we feel selling tickets in advance and online is of benefit to them. Many event organisers still feel that there is little or no need to do so for a number of reasons: ticketing sounds too techy, fear of fees or simply they’ve not done it before. However we exist in a society where people want once-in-a-lifetime experiences that events offer and they want to buy tickets now and then share on social media when they attend them, which benefits event organisers in getting in front of new potential customers as well as increasing their data and cash flow. Ticketmaster has many platforms that can support different event organisers’ needs, varying from the big tours and venues that Ticketmaster supports to boutique events, festivals, conference and free events that Universe can handle – and coupled with our marketing support can really help event organisers to develop their online sales successfully.
We also had a stand where we demonstrated our platforms and chatted to a variety of organisers about their events and held a raffle for a £100 gift card which was won by Tom Hecht from Ourea Events – congratulations!
